How did you first become involved with Huntington’s Victoria?
Louise my sister organised for Victoria and Tina to come out and meet me to see how they could help.

How has Huntington’s Victoria assisted you?
Victoria helped me find a new place to live. She helped to organise funding for carers to take me out. She helped organise for me to see an HD specialist.

What have been some of the challenges you've faced since engaging with Huntington's Victoria?
Moving to a new home. Meeting new people.

What keeps you going?
That I have carers that come and take me out. I also love my chicken Parma’s.

Interview with Case Worker: Victoria

What were the reasons for referring Liz to Huntington’s Victoria Case Management program?
Liz's sister made contact with Huntington’s Victoria on Liz’s behalf as it was becoming more challenging for Liz to remain living in the community.

What have you done to assist Liz?
I have worked with Liz to source suitable accommodation, completing applications for funding packages, implementing support workers to take her out, organising a referral to RMH for her to see an HD specialist, assisted and supported Liz with legal issues and assisted with organising an administrator to look after her finances and assets.

Have you come across any challenges?
Finding suitable accommodation that would meet Liz’s needs and a place that becomes like a home to her.

Why do you enjoy working with your client?
It's great when I am able to help her achieve something that is important to her and brings her happiness.
