For many young people living in a family affected by HD can bring many challenges. The internet is a great place to get good, up-to-date information. Here's a few good sites that might point you to the information you need:
Reach Out - a national website for young people that may be going through a tough time Youth Beyond Blue – information, advice and help for young people relating to depression and anxiety KidsHealth - is a site for children, teens and young adults. It has some great information about a whole range of illnesses, disabilities, mental health problems and services. Check it out! It's All Right - was put together by SANE and can give you some information and links about mental illness. It's pretty funky and easy to read. Kids Help Line - has some information about bullying, dealing with stress and talking things through. The Source - is the Commonwealth Government's youth website. It's got links to websites in each state and territory that can let you know what's going on and how to get help. Just Look - to find out what services are in your area. Suicide Call Back Service - The Suicide Call Back Service is a national telephone counselling service that provides short to medium term support to people at risk of suicide, their carers, and people beareaved by the suicide of a loved one.
