Huntington’s Victoria provides access to expert staff that assists in the navigation of the disability service sector, provide relevant information and connect people with respite and support services. We also work with Australian and global healthcare professionals, disability service providers and academics to increase awareness and understanding or HD , as well as the impact it has on individuals, families and communities.

Client Support Services, a state-wide program, aims to achieve realistic outcomes for individual clients as well as the community through direct service provision and secondary assistance/consultation.

Direct Services

The direct service provision as stated below, are programs that are currently financially supported by the Department of Human Services (DHS).

• Information and Support 
• Education Program
• Case Management Program
• Individualised Support Packages Facilitation Program

  Secondary Assistance/Consultation

  These are supports and services that are provided to the community through community fundraising activities which include:

  • Rural Support
  • Clinic Support
  • Carer Support Group

  These services are integral part of meeting client need and provide state wide support to the following clients:

  • At risk (known parental genetic linkage)
  • Gene Positive
  • Gene Negative
  • Symptomatic (not formally diagnosed)
  • Diagnosed
  • Carer (formal/informal)
  • Family/friend/partner
  • Agency/service provider/professional
