Huntington’s Victoria is comprised of a team of skilled professionals who are dedicated to providing direct service, support and advocacy on behalf of the HD community in Victoria. The team is supported by the General Manager, Tammy Gardner, who is responsible for the daily operations of the organisation.
General Manager Tammy joined Huntington’s Victoria in 2009 with over 10 years of work experience in the Health, Aged Care, Mental Health and Disability Service sectors across the metropolitan and regional context. She has volunteered her time to a number of Boards of Governance including ISIS Primary Care - the largest provider of community health services in the Western Metropolitan region. Tammy who has a Masters in Human Service Management has a firm belief in providing best practice models of service delivery to clients and through her leadership and extensive knowledge of the different service sectors continues to present at national and international conference forums to continually promote the rights of those disadvantaged in the community. Tammy was a recipient of the Centenary Medal of Federation that recognises citizens who have made a contribution to Australian society.

Information, Support and Education (IS&E) The IS&E Team, is the first point of contact for the HD community. The team is comprised of skilled professionals of Allied Health and Social Work background and extensive years of experience within aged care and disability sectors. Being the first contact for support, our IS&E team are up to date with information and available resources in the community and continue to develop skills in different areas which include addressing sensitive family issues.
Case Management/Individualized Support Packages (CM/ISP) The CM/ISP team is comprised of qualified and skilled social workers with extensive years of experience in aged care, mental health and disability sectors. The team is equipped with the latest policies and legislations in all sectors and abreast with available resources and services in the community. Supported by post graduate qualifications and extensive work experience and training with the Department of Human Services, the team continuous to work closely with other agencies and service providers to ensure a quality of life of our clients and their families.
Finance and Administration The above teams are supported by our efficient Accountant and Office Manager who are working hard behind the scenes enabling HV to effectively deliver support and services to the HD community. Our Accountant is responsible for the development and maintenance of all relevant financial reporting system, which include gathering, processing, updating and reconciliation of financial information. These reports are essential tools for the Board and General Manager in making significant decisions to ensure smooth operation of Huntington’s Victoria, ensuring all organizational targets are met. Our Office Manager, on the other hand, plays a very important role on the day to day operation of Huntington’s Victoria being responsible for all administrative functions of the organization which include, but not limited to answering and screenings inquiries and correspondents either by phone, mail or email. The Office Manager also provides variety of support and assistance to the General Manager and the whole Client Support Services Team making it possible for the team to effectively and immediately deliver services to clients and the whole HD community in a daily basis. |
